Hi, thanks for visiting Julie Gibson Photography.

I’m Jules and I’m a mother, daughter, sister and friend. I work full time but photography is my greatest love. I’m based in Ballygowan and I’ve been very lucky and blessed over the last few years to have met some of the most amazing people due to photography. This has ranged from the fitness community, motorbike racing community, autism community and many more.

I’ve recently discovered a new love for deadlifting and I’m excited to see what I do in the gym with how I can progress along the way, the same goes my photography. I’m reigniting my love of photography and finding what will be my ‘niche’ or if I truly need one, because, as you’ll see in my porfolio, I enjoy capturing everything, from portraits, to car interiors and everything that my clients bring to me. I went to a workshop in photography and was told my niche isn’t a certain type of photography, my niche is my customers, listening to what they want and providing the best photography I can for them, I kinda like that, and I’m always proud of the work I provide for clients.

In a world of reels, stories and video, I’m old school. I love photography, I love the interaction with a person infront of my lens and getting to know them while I take their photo. Printing images is also a huge part of photography, we are forever taking photos on our phones, but what do you do with them? They’re just floating about on the cloud? Getting to touch the photo and having those emotions and connections through the image, I think is important. Maybe one day, I’ll get on the bandwagon for video, but in the meantime, my heart belongs to a beautifully edited and high quality printed photographs.
