A Jazzy Gin Event

I had a lovely evening last night at the #JazzyGin event for Belfast Artisan Distillery held at the beautiful Antrim Castle Gardens courtyard. The music for the evening was provided by Linley Hamilton & his ensemble, accompanied by the blues guitarist Ronnie Greer.

When you entered the courtyard, you were greeted by the team and provided your first free sample of the evening, a traditional Gin & Tonic. At the interlude from the first set of Jazz music, the delicious food nibbles, which were catered by Diana’s Tearooms & Courtyard, were then presented ready with an array of hams, crackers, voulavonts, cheeses, icecreams and macrons. Each bite full of flavour.

Jim, from Belfast Artisan Distillery, who are based in Mallusk, provided a talk on how their business was started, the design of their label and how it represents all things Belfast, and of course, an insight to the making of their gin and gin liqueurs. While outside, cocktail demonstrations were displayed with an explanation about each cocktails name and a little bit of history for each one.

Thank you to Belfast Hour & Belfast Artisan Distillery, Lough Neagh Partnership Discover NI & the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council for the tickets for this event. Here are a few photos from the evening.
