2023 is all about tattoos

The business portraits project is coming to a close and from January will become a photo package you can book.

This means I've a new project to take it's place.

For every Saturday in 2023, I'd love to capture a tattoo artist in action.

Finding out about the artist, their history and why they became a tattoo artist in the first place, why they love it, what they don't like, how they work with their clients, the stories told, the meanings of ink etched into their clients skin and capturing them while in the midst of it all, behind the scenes etc.

If you are a tattoo artist or studio owner in Northern Ireland and would like to take part, here's what it entails:

  • A saturday session - can be one sitting or more

  • All the photos taken are free for you but a small donation made to the Air Ambulance NI would be greatly appreciated

  • Images are not watermarked and free for you to use as you please but you cannot edit them and a photo credit of used would be welcomed

  • Your email interview is shared on a blog post, shared on my socials and promoted on #BelfastHour on twitter with all your social media links too.

  • Hopefully if I get enough images, I'd love to have them shown as an exhibition at the end of the year.

If you would like to take part, please get in touch. You can contact me through the website's contact us page or email Jules@juliegibsonphotography.com with the email subject header: tattooproject2023

I look forward to hearing from you

Jules x
