A new chapter begins
The last few weeks I’ve been looking at my photography side of life and it was time that I stepped it up. A rebrand was required. Afterall, we don’t evolve if we don’t change. I’ve been so lucky and blessed to have met some amazing people due to photography and humbled to be your choice when documenting your life and now I want to offer more.
It’s also been a factor that blackwater images has been confused along with another local business and some folks didn’t even realise that I did portrait photography. So the time has come to rebrand.
Blackwater images is now Julie Gibson Photography.
So what’s new?
I’ll be focusing on the portrait photography side more so than anything else, but I shall still be available for small weddings and social media content photos.
There will also be a new logo with the new website domain. A new email address, though the previous one will still be working for a while yet. The website is being rejigged with a new store section to let you purchase limited prints and further down the line, hopefully new photography subscription boxes which will have lovely goodies from our amazing local businesses also along with photographic artwork from myself. I’ll also be offering 1 - 1 basic photography training. There will also be a new pinterest account for mood boards and inspirations for what to wear for your photo sessions and a new newsletter for offers, and other hints or tips.
New pricing and products which are printed by a professional photo lab, based here in NI, so I can help support local businesses as much as I can.
Air Ambulance NI is still my designated charity and this will be supported with donations from each session, print purchased and subscription box, so keep an eye out for those updates during the year for more information. The Business Portrait Project shall also be continuing throughout the year and if you are a local business in Northern Ireland and would like to take part, you can find out more about here.
The rebranding launch will be showcased each Monday throughout February, kicking off next week with the new logo release. Details of the new email address shall be released the following Monday and also keep an eye out for the give away leading up to the new domain for the website going live on the 1st March. The winner shall be announced on the 5th March.
